My South Florida Fall Bucket List

A South Florida Fall Bucket List Several of the bloggers I follow on Bloglovin have posted Fall or Autumn Bucket Lists in the last couple of days. After reading their list I’m kind of excited about fall. You see when you’re a native South Floridian, you don’t really think about the fall much. Even though we are a week into fall, it’s still almost 90 degrees here. We don’t begin to feel or see any seasonal changes until late October. We really don’t “see” much seasonal changes at all. Our leaves don’t change colors, the palm trees stay green all year-long.

A couple of year ago, I went to Atlanta in November and I instantly became the weirdo tourist taking pictures of the tree leaves. Here’s one of the pictures from my trip. I just could believe how gorgeous the leave were.

To be completely honest, I had to google the word “fall” to find out how long the fall last? I needed to know to figure out how much time I would have to complete a fall bucket list. So according to the Encyclopedia Britannica
Autumn is usually defined in the Northern Hemisphere as the period between the autumnal equinox (day and night equal in length), September 22 or 23, and the winter solstice (year’s shortest day), December 21 or 22; and in the Southern Hemisphere as the period between March 20 or 21 and June 21 or 22.
Therefore, those of us who live in North America have until December 22 to complete the items on our Fall Bucket List. I think that’s doable, so I’m going to give it try. After read several fall bucket list I developed a South Florida Fall Bucket List. Because we can’t go apple picking or get cozy by the fireplace. So without further ado, here are 10 things that I plan to do this fall…
1. Try My First Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
2. Make Something Creative with Yarn
3. Go Horseback Riding
4. Wear a Dark Colored Nail Polish
5. Create a Thankful Tree
6. Visit the Local Farmers Market
7. Make a Fall Inspired Recipe
8. Read a Scary Novel – My Soul to Keep by Tananarive Due
9. Make Apple Sangria
10. Have Lunch at a Restaurant on the Beach in December ( just because I can! )
I will feature some of my fall bucket list on the blog. Things like Visit the Local Farmers Market and Make Apple Sangria will be featured on the blog. Other simpler task like Try a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte will be features on my Instagram page.
So, that’s my list. What is on your fall to-do list? And if you try any of the items on my list, let me know below.

I’m a Midwest girl, but my heart resides in South Florida. After 4 years at the University of Miami, I got so used to the warm temps during the fall that when I returned home the fall months seemed dreadfully cold.

I didn’t make a bucket list this year, but your post has me feeling inspired to make one.

    xoxo,
    Roxy
