I have a couple family members, who do not live close to the rest of the family. We all know that being away from home can be hard, so why not send them a little something to let them know you are thinking about them.
Since today is the first #ThrowbackThursday of 2017! I’d like to throw it back to last month and share with you a fabulous Christmas music playlist I made on Christmas Eve. I openly love Christmas music. Christmas music puts me in a “holly, jolly” mood. I don’t feel the Christmas spirit until I’m surrounded by Christmas music everywhere I go!
I listened to the 24 hour Christmas radio station during the entire month of December. The radio station is Sunny 107.9 FM in South Florida in case you didn’t know. It’s the only one in South Florida and they play Christmas songs 24 hours a day starting on November 25th each year.
Happy New Year!
New Year’s Day always brings excitement and the allure of a new beginning to our lives. For many January 1st is the start of a new year and an opportunity for a fresh start! We declare that this year is going to be different. We make a list of New Year’s resolution to help us achieve our goals. The new year is started with fierce determination and positivity. However, according to a Forbes article, only 8% of people actually achieve their New Year’s resolutions. I have to admit that some years I’m in that 92% of people who give up on their New Year’s resolutions. I then feel defeated for not keeping my New Year’s resolutions. So this year instead of making a list of New Year’s resolutions, I’ve decided to try something different. I really want to live a more positive life and to do that I must have a positive mindset. So, I’m going to start the New Year on a positive note by creating a Gratitude Jar and reading The Power of Positive Thinking.

The Yellow and Green Farmers Market is kind of a hidden gem because its set up in the heart of a residential neighborhood and not visible from the highway or any main roads.
Yellow Green Farmers Market is located at 1940 North 30th Road Hollywood, FL 33021[GMap]. This market is only open on the weekends from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. It’s open rain or shine because all the 300 plus vendors are in a covered barn shaped building. The market offers free parking, shopping carts, and Wi-Fi. It’s also pet friendly.
I’ve been thinking about reducing my caffeine intake for a while now. But I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to do it. As I contemplated how I was going to reduce my caffeine intake I decided to use the same strategy I used to decrease the amount of sodas I used to drink. SUBSTITUTION!
Having a Workout Playlist is a must for high intensity workouts. If you have read my About Me page then you already know that I ‘m a little bit random. So, why should my Workout Playlist be any different? When I’m at the gym I like to listen to music that motivates me and songs that I can sing along to in my head! I like my heart to go “boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom” to the super bass in my ears!
I’m not a “brand” snob when it comes to clothing, shoes, and accessories. But when it comes to hair products, I like the expensive stuff. My hair seems responds better to high-end hair products. But with this amazing quality comes a steep price. So I’m always on the hunt for deals and steals when it comes to hair care products. Here are a few of my favorite places to shop.
When life (or your cousin) gives you a bag of mangos, make Mango Margaritas!
This refreshing cocktail is my all-time favorite summer cocktail to make at home. It literally take about 5 minutes to make a whole pitcher worth. It’s the perfect cocktail for sitting pool side in sunny South Florida.
1 large ripe mango
1/2 cup of tequila
2 tablespoons of agave
1 cup of ice
Cut up the mango into chunks
Place all other ingredients into a blender
Squeeze the juice of half of a lime into the blender
Pulse the blender until mixture is smooth
Pour mixture into a glass and serve
The best part about this recipe is that you can tweak it to your personal taste buds. If you like it sweeter add more agave. If you like it stronger add more tequila. this recipe makes enough for two servings. For a pitcher worth double the recipe. Cheers!
