Try Coloring to Reduce Stress

Try Coloring to Reduce StressThanks to my sponsor, Suzy Toronto, for supplying the coloring book for this giveaway!

Coloring is no longer a kid only activity! Adult coloring is quickly becoming a favorite past time and hobby for many adults. Adult coloring books are all the rage, right now. Surprisingly, the relaxing sensation felt by children while coloring is also felt by adults. In fact, research studies have found that coloring can reduce a person’s overall stress level.

Although, coloring isn’t a complex activity it requires focus, even if it’s just to stay in the lines. Staying in the lines is optional by the way. While coloring you are distracted from non-immediate stressors. Coloring is an easy activity that allows one to decompress and relax. Some have found it to be an almost meditative activity.

Coloring can be a fun family activity too. If the family has had a busy or stressful day, skip game night. Instead, let every member of the family pick out their own coloring book. Buy a big box of crayons or colored pencils and spend some time coloring as a family. Moms and Dads can have their artwork displayed on the refrigerator too you know!

On this blog post, everyone wins! If you would like to give coloring a try, I have a FREE PDF coloring page for you. Click here to view the coloring page. Just print and grab some crayons and you are ready to go. If you don’t have any crayons experiment with different shades of black and gray with a pencil.

If you want to win BIG use the entry database below to enter to win a FREE coloring book from Suzy Toronto.  The coloring book we are giving away is called Tingle Boots.  This 80-page coloring book showcases an assortment of illustrations featuring boots. As I perused through the book I immediately wanted to color in it, while listening to the iconic rhythmic sounds of Nancy Sinatra’s  “These Boots Are Made for Walking”!

I think the coloring book is both positive and playful. Ms. Toronto has incorporated uplifting quotes throughout all her coloring books. Her signature drawings of madcap women with wild hair and brightly colored attire can be found on greeting cards, calendars, bookmarks, magnets, and more. Ms. Toronto’s coloring books are available for purchase on her website or on Amazon.

In the words of Nancy Sinatra, “Are you ready boots?”! Enter the giveaway below.
